Justice of the Peace
We have a JP on site here on the first Wednesday of every month in our Cafe from 10 – 11 am.
1 in 10
1in10 is a program where a team sets aside 1 in 10 Saturday mornings (that is 5 per year) to help make our community a better place. This involves working in school, kindergartens, aged care facilities, public spaces and private homes doing practical jobs such as gardening, landscaping, painting, building, maintenance and rubbish removal for those who really need some support.
The 1in10 team works in small groups at each site, with a team leader who oversees the project. We meet for breakfast at the CFC at 7.30, and then head out to the sites after 8 am. We finish the work by 12.30 pm. 1in10 members are asked to provide a small donation to help cover the cost of breakfast and any additional costs with supporting our clients. They also provide tools as well as manpower (and womanpower) to make the jobs proceed expediently.

Is bringing companionship and friendship into the lives of the lonely and isolated. The team meets at 1.30pm on the scheduled Saturday in the CFC Hall for a time of prayer and encouragement. Donations are encouraged to help cover the costs of small gifts for the people visited. After prayer time, the team (in groups of 2 or 3) will visit people from 2 to 4pm, taking along the small gifts.
