Is bringing companionship and friendship into the lives of the lonely and isolated
the goals
To make our community a better place through building connections with lonely people and bringing some joy into their lives.
To build better relationships with other community groups through connection and networking.
To allow people who are unable to be involved in 1in10 because of physical limitations to be involved in a similar activity.

You can sign up to be a part of the Bridges team to visit lonely people one Saturday afternoon each month.*
The team will meet at 1.30pm on the scheduled Saturday in the CFC Hall for a time of prayer and encouragement. Donations are encouraged to help cover the costs of small gifts for the people visited. After prayer time, the team (in groups of 2 or 3) will visit people from 2 to 4pm, taking along the small gifts.

1in10

the idea
To set aside 5 Saturday mornings each year to help make our community a better place through acts of service.
the picture
You can ‘sign-up’ to the idea for the year. This doesn’t commit you to be at every Saturday event, but it allows us to deal directly with you about what’s happening. We will also advertise in the lead up to each Saturday event to allow casual involvement. We aim to do a variety of different events, with one “Plunge” style event each year. Each person involved pays $10 ($5 students) to help cover the cost of breakfast and materials for the events. On each Saturday we will:
- meet at the CFC at 7.30am for breakfast, followed by a logistics/motivation/prayer time.
- be on site by 8.30am to do the work.
- be finished by lunchtime (12.30pm)
Contact the CFC Office on (08) 7127 4098 or email 1in10@familycentre.org.au to register your interest
